The MycoAlert Mycoplasma Detection Kit is an advanced biochemical testing kit that utilizes the activity of mycoplasma enzymes, which are not present in eukaryotic cells, to detect the majority of 180 types of mycoplasma (including all 6 types that are the main causes of cell culture contamination). The surviving mycoplasma in the sample is lysed, and the enzymes react with the MycoAlert substrate, catalyzing the conversion from ADP to ATP.
